Your ride, with the bike’s real data on the video.

A Bosch e-bike records every ride in the eBike Flow app: wheel-measured speed, the power you put in, cadence, altitude, track. Export it as FIT, film with any camera, and YouMetry lays it all on the picture — speedometer, power, cadence, ride summary — then replays the route in 3D over the real terrain. A Garmin watch adds heart rate; it is not required.

What YouMetry reads

  • The FIT export of Bosch eBike Flow: the speed measured by the bike (it drives the speedometer, not a speed guessed from the GPS), rider power in watts, pedalling cadence, position and altitude second by second.
  • The FIT of a Garmin watch or bike computer (Forerunner, Fenix, Edge…): heart rate, cadence, altitude, temperature, electronic gears when the bike has them.
  • Any other FIT or GPX: Strava, Komoot, Wahoo, another motor’s app… A GPX only carries the track and altitude: speed and route, but neither power nor cadence.
  • The video comes from whatever camera you like: GoPro, Insta360, DJI Osmo, a phone on the handlebar. A GoPro or an Insta360 also brings its own GPS.

How to do it

  1. In eBike Flow, open the ride, then Share / Export and choose the FIT format (the GPX only holds the GPS). On a Garmin, the activity exports as FIT from Garmin Connect.
  2. Open the video in YouMetry, pick the Other mode (the sports one), then Import → File for the FIT.
  3. Align the data with the picture: the start, a stop at a light or a sharp turn is enough, to the second.
  4. Pick your gauges, drag them where you want them, then export: a finished video, or a transparent layer for your edit.

What you get

  • Speedometer (the bike’s speed), power in watts, cadence as a ring turning at the pedals’ pace, altitude and gradient, heart rate when a watch is there.
  • The ride summary at the end of the video: distance, time, average, climb, pace per kilometre and altitude profile.
  • The mini-map on the picture and the ride replayed in 3D over terrain and aerial imagery, with the track coloured by speed or altitude.
  • Export as transparent ProRes 4444 or PNG for Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere — or a video with the gauges burnt in, and ×64 playback for long rides.

Good to know

  • The Bosch export holds neither battery charge nor assist mode: YouMetry therefore does not show them. If the Flow app adds them, they will be read.
  • Bosch only writes cadence when it changes: YouMetry holds the last value between two writes, so the pedals turn without jerks.
  • A ride is read from one data file: take the Bosch FIT for the bike (speed, power, cadence), or the Garmin one for the body (heart rate). Without a Garmin, everything works from the Bosch export alone.
  • 3D terrain downloads on demand, once; after that everything works offline. Other watch and bike-computer files are on the Dragy, VBOX and Garmin page.

Questions

Do I need a Garmin watch with a Bosch bike?

No. The FIT export of the eBike Flow app is enough: speed, power, cadence, altitude and track. The watch adds heart rate and temperature.

GPX or FIT from eBike Flow?

FIT. The GPX only contains positions: YouMetry gets speed and route from it, but neither power nor cadence, and its speed is less accurate than the one measured by the bike.

What about bikes with another motor brand?

As soon as the motor’s app, Strava or Komoot exports a FIT or a GPX, YouMetry reads it. The data shown is whatever the file contains.

Do I need an account or a connection?

No. No account, nothing is uploaded: your videos and data stay on your computer.
