A RaceRender alternative, with 3D on top.
RaceRender has served a whole generation of track-day drivers. If you now want a tool that reads your drone and camera files directly, shows the lap over real terrain and speaks your language, here is what YouMetry offers.
Where RaceRender stands
- Paid software in several editions, for Windows and Mac, in English.
- Reads GPX, CSV and GoPro data; not DJI drone SRT files nor Insta360 files.
- Engine data comes through a third-party logger’s file; the map is 2D.
- These points were checked on the publisher’s site when we wrote our comparison; check there for the current state.
What YouMetry adds
- The route replayed in 3D over real terrain and aerial imagery, where other software stops at a 2D map.
- Direct reading of today’s sources: DJI SRT and embedded telemetry, GoPro, Insta360, RaceChrono, OBD-II, GPX.
- Export as a transparent layer (ProRes 4444 or PNG) for Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere, on top of the finished video.
- A mobile app that records the session, lap times and OBD, plus YouTube live streaming with the gauges.
- Five languages, no account, nothing uploaded to a server. One-time purchase.

Switching to YouMetry
- Try it with nothing to install: the online trial takes a video with its DJI SRT or a GPX.
- Download YouMetry for Mac or Windows: everything is open in the trial, only export is limited to 30 seconds at 720p.
- Your RaceRender files stay usable: YouMetry opens the same GPX, CSV and GoPro videos. Give the data file the video’s name so they open together.
- Pick a layout, drag the gauges into place, export.
