Your performance runs, proven on screen.

A 0–60, a quarter mile, a timed lap: your meter measures, your camera films. YouMetry brings the two together, so the number shows on the picture at the exact moment it happens.

What YouMetry reads

  • Racelogic’s .vbo format (VBOX), also exported by Dragy and RaceChrono: time, position, speed, heading, altitude, satellites.
  • CSV files of timestamped positions, with columns recognised by name (time, latitude, longitude, speed, accelerations…).
  • Units written in the file — km/h, mph, knots — converted without you having to think about it.

How to do it

  1. Export the run or session from your meter’s app, preferably as .vbo.
  2. Put the file next to the video, with the same name, then open the video in YouMetry.
  3. Line the data up with the picture: a standing start is the ideal marker — speed leaves zero the instant the car moves.

What you get

  • Speedometer, speed graph, longitudinal and lateral acceleration, G-meter.
  • 10 Hz and faster receivers used at their full rate: no smoothing that would blunt a hard launch.
  • The route in 3D over terrain, and export as a transparent layer for editing.

Good to know

  • The reader was tuned on real RaceChrono files and on the .vbo specification. If an export from your meter misbehaves, send it to us: it is usually fixed in the next release.
  • YouMetry certifies nothing: it shows your measurements, it does not validate them.

Questions

Can you put a Dragy run on a video?

Yes: export the run from the Dragy app, open it with the video in YouMetry and line it up on the launch.

Are my VBOX .vbo files supported?

Yes, Racelogic’s .vbo format is read, midnight rollover included.
